Corneal examination with Pentacam HR
A Pentacam is a device that allows you detecting and analyzing a variety of information about the entire anterior segment of the eyeball, with particular application for sampling of the corneal surface. It is a non-invasive test of very short duration.
This innovative device allows performing the measurement of the corneal thickness (pachymetry), as well as anterior and posterior corneal topography and analysis of the evolution of keratoconus, collecting the data required for refractive surgery in the pre- and postoperative period (LASIK and PRK), besides the evaluation of the greater or smaller narrowness of the chamber angle (camerular sinus) in glaucoma; it is also possible to obtain either comparative or individual printouts of the examinations performed.
